On Sept 17, 2008 Laura and Doug visited the Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery in Groesbeek, Netherlands (about 10km from Nijmegen, and 2 hours from Amsterdam). We went to see where Doug's Uncle - Kenneth W. Courtenay is buried. Uncle Kenneth was killed 15 years before he was born, and only a few months before WWII was over. Sadly, the cemetery is full of men who were so very young ...

  • I was here last week and it really touched me. They keep it very well maintained and the soldiers that died were way to young. You will never be forgotten. Thank you soldiers and Mr. Courtenay.
