We can talk about the MacBook Air , as we did in the most recent Macworld Podcast . But a picture, as they say, is worth a thousand words, so here's a video review of the MacBook Air, just as the first laptops start shipping out to customers.
The MacBook Air arrived in our offices a week ago, and since then I've been putting the notebook to the test. I pared down my files so that everything would fit on the MacBook Air's 80GB hard drive, I used the Migration Assistant , and I handed the laptop over to the Lab for extensive testing. Now I'm ready to share my final assessment of the MacBook Air.

  • damn u got a big ass dent in ur forehead might wanna get that fixed lmfao

  • don;t think of a.it as a laptop. because of its size you can now compare it to tablets and it will become the most powerful tablet out

  • yeah it´s for gays, and for people who knows shit about computer!!!

  • on the release of the macbook air, steve jobs argues that other thin notebooks are thin because they compromise on features.....

That's an "amazing feat for technology"? Wow, you're easily impressed. My notebook is about 1 inch thick and has everything that macAir doesn't have: useful CPU speed, decent HDD, 3 USB 2s, built-in DVD burner with LightScribe, dedicated LAN, modem, and wi-fi, VGA port, removable battery & RAM, built-in memory card slot, 15.6 inch LCD, dual core 64-bit AMD @ 2 GHz.

The Air is a waste of technology. An over-sized pricey netbook is all that it is.

  • MacBook Air is an absolute beauty. I called the toll free number 18004254646 to find out the price list of Apple macs. I was told that they have some good offers for University students in India. MacBook pro is on my Christmas wishlist.

  • who cares about all this hard drive crap i mean really??? its 3/4 of an inch thick is a an amazing feat for technology!!!

  • If you use good batteries, they don't die that often. I use Energizer Lithium batteries. Or you could use rechargeable lithium batteries.

In the end, it depends on your personal preference/needs.

  • Well I prefer a wired mouse so I don't have to worry about the mouse battery and I have to use an usb stick(s) from time to time.

I dunno I don't think it sucks bad but I just prefer my Akoya 1312 which fits in an envelope like the air x-P

  • Check Apple's website, apple(dot)com/macbookair

It now has a 2.13 GHz Core 2 Duo processor and a 128 Gb SSD. For the high-end model, of course.

And be honest, how often are you going to use more than one USB port? If you've got Bluetooth, then there's really no need for extraneous USB ports.
