haha!!! his famous "toothbrush" Gibson! if you look closely, you will see a white plastic thing in the bridge of the guitar, its a toothbrush! god knows why he used it, this blew my mind at 15!

esa es su famosa Gibson con cepillo de dientes! si os fijais en el puente de la guitarra, se puede ver un objeto de plastico blanco, un cepillo de dientes! Metheny es obviamente un eccentrico!

Síii, ja, ja. Creo recordar que dijo que tuvo que usarlo porque algo se había roto en su guitarra y no tenía otra cosa a mano. Pero que a partir de ese momento su guitarra sonaba mejor que nunca. Así que ya no lo tocó. Duró unos cuantos años...

Me parece que es una actuacion en el Auditorio Arena en Valencia del 87 aunque no estoy seguro. Estuve en ese concierto y la sala se asemeja al desaparecido Arena. Me encantaria tener el video. Gracias por compartir esta maravilla. Un abrazo!!

¡Caramba! ¡Yo también estuve en ese concierto en Valencia! Definitivamente, no la grabación no es de Valencia, sino del festival de San Sebastián o de Vitoria (eso no lo recuerdo bien), que fue luego retransmitido en el programa "Jazz entre amigos", con Juan Claudio Cifuentes.

Sometimes Metheny is criticized for being "too commercial". That criticism may or may not be deserved, but this is the most beatiful song he has ever recorded....simply sublime..Bravo

I recall my memories of driving in a car from a trip with my girlfriend, leaning on my shoulder, while this gentle music was dripping from the speakers... We were driving towards the sunset, watching all things slowly pass behind the window... It's incredible how many memories and emotions can a beautiful piece of art awake in one's heart...
