@tatum635 Pretty sure you're Y because you grew up in the 90's and, for the most part, remember the 90's. I think that people who grew up in and remember the 90's are a separate generation because we have a distinctly different view of the world. We grew up without the Cold War and largely benefited from the booming 90's economy. 9/11 acted as an awakening that there was evil in the world, and everything just went downhill from there.

@velconstantcraving A recent National Science Foundation (gov) sponsored study says Gen Xers were born between the years 1961 to 1981. So a 20 birth span would support the premise that there are approx. 90 million Gen Xers in the U.S.. The report is due out this week — Oct. 25th 2011.

Gen Xers are the LARGEST U.S. generational population. They're born between the years 1961 - 1981. The total U.S. Gen X population is 93,000,000 people. See New York Times bestselling book titled "Generations" by experts Strauss and Howe (page 318).
