You haven't been paying attention to religion then. Maybe this argument would go better if we was both as educated in religion as each other. As it stands I feel like you are closed minded and your opening counter to my comment proves that
"Keep telling yourself that" is not open minded. It is a self defense mechanism devised when you have no evidence and you want to move on from the threat of the argument. IE: being close minded. Psychology 101
