  • Do you have his song: "Fraulein"? I believe it's on the same album as this one.

  • @Deimoshunter Yes I do.

  • @dancingdjdj Care to upload it? My Dad had this on an 8-track when I was a kid. Loved the songs.

  • @Deimoshunter @ your reguest its up and running. Check it out!

  • I love this song by Dobie Gray & John Kurtz. I just found this & it is awesome!! Love it

  • Dobie Gray released his version 1973 on the rock charts with Dobie's the original and the version by Narvel Felts was released in 1973 on the country charts, with Narvel's version a cover of Dobie's. Both great version & hits on both charts.

  • @Billhope1974 Bill, You're sick.... Get help soon!

  • @kenhamlett1 You're so right. He's a great guy and a great talent!

  • When I was young (I will be 62 on Monday, so it was a long time ago), I was a singer, and I occasionally played shows with Mr. Felts. He also lived in a town near our farm, so I saw him regularly (when he was not touring). He was such a wonderful man -- kind, considerate, helpful, encouraging. He was a terrific talent, and especially great on stage. But, what I remember most about him was his kindness and generosity to a very young man he did not even really know. They are great memories.

  • @gremashlo "Beginning to think I'm wasting time" yeah buddy compared to Dobie Gray's version you are. I love how they changed the line from "Your Rock and Roll" to "Your country song" because the rednecks still think rock and roll is "The Devil's Music" Heck don't tell them the original is sung by a black man because they'll be saying if you play it backwards it tells white girls to date black men! Can't have that!....lol

  • I like this version of Drift Away...
