As a dive Shop, established in 1983, PHANTOM DIVERS wants to promote the conservation of endangered marine species.
we feel we have a compromise with the planet because we have really experienced the wonders it has offered us on a day to day basis in the Mexican Caribbean.
The bull shark, a species that is on top of the marine ecosystem, lately has suffered several "falls" which have caused uncertainty in the role that humankind plays as a risk factor for the ecosystem and its species.

This is why we invite all lovers to heart to join the S.O.S. project (for its initials in english: "Saving Our Sharks").

Too bad feeding the sharks, I been diving with them and now everytime they see divers, they ask for they piece of bait, even some of them have turned very demanding and they push you and come too close. I dont like what this activity is bringing upon sharks. They used to be very deep on the wall and now we find them at 10 m where we dont want to see them. Feeding wild fauna is not good, you should know that. Hope SEMARNAT releases soon a banning law against this stupid activity.

@Yamahalf Let's ask the real experts and authorities such as SEMARNAT & PROFEPA. I bet anything you not even report to them what you really do guys, but let me tell you, is not about your report, is a about the denounce somebody has to make about this... is about to see some real SHARK ATTACKS THANKS TO YOU. Also am not an expert, as supposedly you are, but am a lawyer, and have common sense, and theres probes and examples of what you are doing and the consequences.

@MrRacsoe Don´t talk about you don´t know, feeding and chumming is made all over the world for several decades. And the shark attacks didn´t rise at all on the worls, or on those places. Maybe you have to adrress to those exploitation fishermans who take everithing from the sea and don´t let anithing the shark could eat, so they aproach to the shore and try to eat something different. And please, be a little more polite, thre´s no need to say dirty words. Be more educated.

@MrRacsoe There´s only about 6 mortal attacks of sharks around the worls each year, and all of them are caused because they confuse people with seals or they don´t know what in front of it and it tries with a little bite. Fedding and chumming is made all around thr world, and it starts a lot of years aerlier, and the stadistics shows that there´s not a rise on attacks on those places over those years. Maybe the solution could be bann the fishing exploitation so shark could find it´s meal.

This is so wrong!!!.. What natural enviroment? You are chumming them, and accident is bound to happen. By chumming them and feeding them is not their natural enviroment...

My experience when diving and snorkeling with bulls, tiger and white sharks, in Mozambique and South Africa, is the natural enviroment experience... If they are around, not chumming to attract them.... They are all awsome... You say dont touch them but your instructor & DM does.. Ethics to Auqatic life brother....!!!
