@daoakman19 Also, the thermal compound is on the "top" of the motherboard not the bottom.

@daoakman19 transfer heat as it is supposed to. Clean the old thermal compound off and re-apply new thermal compound to the GPU and it is good as new. On a side note it would be best to get a can of air or use an air compressor at low psi to blow all the dust out of the motherboard and apply the same process to the CPU as well for best results. Cheers! ;)

@punkBlood3 If you want to get technical then actually the GPU isn't loose. It is overheating. and the "glue gel-ish compound" is actually thermal compound which allows heat from the GPU to transfer to the heat sink which disperses said heat. After a while, or more often rather, the thermal compound gets too hot because the xbox isn't built well enough to disperse the amount of heat it needs to to run properly. Therefore, the thermal compound acquires a gel-ish texture which doesn't

HERES A MORE FUN WAY TAKE SOMETHING YOU RALLY LIKE TO USE AS A WEAPON TAKE THE CONSOLE OUTSIDE (my weapon is a sledgehammer) LIFT UP YOUR WEAPON AND UNLEASH HELL THEN BY A PS3 OR ANOTHER 360

@ScreamMode1337 No actually, thr RRoD is from the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) being loose. The glue gel-ish compound on the bottom of the motherboard has melted. Reheating the console works as a temporary fix, but I would not recommend doing this because you can damage your motherboard and other hardware parts on your Xbox. Him making this video is informative and good for people who need a fix RIGHT NOW.
