The Mississauga Arts Council interviews 2009 MARTY award recipient Sonja Hidas.

Sonja Hidas was born in Montreal Quebec where she studied illustration
and design. Today, Sonja works as an artist, teacher, curator, and advocate
for the arts in the City of Mississauga where she lives with her husband
and two children. Sonja produced a multi-arts community
installation titled the Hot Box, Mississauga project—Memories of the
Mississauga Train Derailment and Evacuation held in the Fall of 2009.
