Along with her compulsory bars score, she qualified 6th into the event finals. However, 3 of her teammates qualified ahead of her, so she was not eligible to compete.

I was just about to say the exact same thing! Kalinina had superior form, especially compared to Galieva's arched handstand and hop on the landing.

I liked Galieva but this routine was so overscored compared to poor Kalinina. If she wasn't Soviet, this would have scored a 9.8 at best. Pity.

Yeah, She was one of the first females to do the Tkatchev right into a Giant swing.

amazing routine. She was at her peak at the 1992 olympics. Too bad she didn't get a chance a the gold! the release into direct giant swing is amazing!
