In this video I take up the mantle of Dr. James M. Nuclear (not a real doctor) and I demonstrate how this IR pen can be used to control a Windows based computer and to draw on a large display screen. To learn more about the system you can visit http://whaleboneir.com or http://wiimoteproject.com. To purchase the software that makes this kind of interaction possible go to http://smoothboard.net. More videos will be posted soon.

  • The Sword II is now available and we have sold more than 100 with great, positive feedback from our customers. You can see it in action in many many of my other videos. It is 28 1/2 inches long, the longest IR pen available for sale in the world. The end also come to a tighter point than the sword 1, so you know exactly where you will be pointing or drawing. Enjoy. Any questions? please send me a message.

  • Bigger is better. Sorry folks I can't find any more of this particular toy sword to turn into the "sword" IR pen, so this model is discontinuted, sold out, all gone, BUT we have the SWORD II available tomorrow!! It is 28 inches long, comes to a sharper point, for more precise drawing and it uses standard AA batteries which can be rechargable batteries if you so choose. Thank you everyone for your fabulous response to "the sword". It's been a heck of a ride.

  • Supplies of this model of sword are running out. Thank you, everyone for your amazing response. We are working on an even longer, improved model, but we are going to have to retire this one soon. To purchase, go to ebay and search for IR pen.

  • So have u implemented a right-click? Not as amazing without it...

  • Good question. Right clicking is a bit more difficult with the system as shown here, but it can be done. How is works is this, there is a button on the smoothboard control panel (on the display) and if you click it, then the next thing you click will get a right click (pop up click) instead of a left click. There is also another mode called "presenter" mode where right clicking can be VERY easy. I will be posting a video about that mode is a few days. Thanks for posting.

  • I am just asking, since I am working on an IR-pen featuring a USB connection as regular HID device enabling right-click by button.

Hope to see more on your further delevopments.

  • That's excellent. Are you going to have a long cord from the usb port to the whiteboard display? I am also working on new pens all of the time. I'll send you an email so that we can talk in private. Perhaps we can collaborate.

  • @Shakespeare1612 Nice, but I've always prefered horse back battles, can I request an IR Lance, measuring 8ft long rather than a sword. :D
