The Performance Direct Non Standard Awards winners, the Allard Chrysler Action Group, are one big step closer to fully restoring the first ever British Dragster "Ally" from the 1960's.
The ACAG originally received the Performance Direct Non Standard Award at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu on November 25th 2009 in front of a large gathering of excited motoring journalists. The award has contributed to the funding needed to build the 354 Chrysler Hemi engine for the car by Dragster experts Booth Arons Racing Enterprises. The engine was unveiled at the Autosport International in January 2011.
This Historic & Classic Drag Car will soon be restored to it's former glory helping us all to remember this piece of motoring history. We, at Performance Direct, cannot wait to hear the sound of that engine when it get's fired up.
