Short Guys dating Tall Girls?

I reckon it's a common issue and wish to know what others think.
A recent story about me dating a guy who's shorter than me (5'4" vs. 5'75").
I didn't really have a problem with it but he sounded paranoied. :(
Boys look for short girls but the classic "model" stereotype who is tall above average breaks the ice, while girls MOSTLY look for taller guys and it feels kind of awkward to date a short guy?
It's just the way people picture it!

its not society's call on whom you date. Society is soo fucked up & it has made ppl very stupid. Sounds like you just havn't found the right person yet.... you sound very intelligent , intelligence is very attractive and u find love. It's hard to find it but once you do it makes all the time u spent alone worth it. I'm really only assuming this cause I am still single & every girl i date seems to cheat on me but i cant give up on girls.. there not all Evil.

@Dominator5515 exactly my point, men love women with curves, and women love men that you just described. They are genetically proned to love men that fit that discription, because everything you stated above indicates that the male is in a very healthy shape and is ready to reproduce.

completely wrong.  guys prefer boobs , round butts agree but. women prefer men with V torsos , strong chests toned arms , flat stomach . some like tall some like average guys ,some short .how dominant and strong human will be depends on individual

Height does matter. Women are genetically programmed to fall for stronger, more dominant guys. The same way guys are programmed to prefer women with strong body features, round butt, tits. It's nature. Female lions prefer strong lions, because they can produce, stronger offsprings. More apt to survive. It's all nature, and i study genetics.
