@Richlyares that makes so much sense, as there is that cultural commonality between all the the places you mentioned especially regarding music and dance.

@happycamper11777 They take their name from Egyptians, thats because people started calling them that as they thought they were from Egypt. Also it is now known that they originally came from India and took different paths and traveled the world. Some went through the Middle East into North Africa and into Spain and Europe some stayed in the Middle East, North Africa or Spain and some traveled on. Some just went through Turkey and made their way into main land Europe.
