@dacorsua I personally enjoy it. It gives his performance a wonderfully personal and genuine touch. I can feel that his mind and emotions are totally occupied with the music. It is distracting occaisionally and I would definitely recommend listening to other more orthodox recordings. Still, there is nothing wrong with what Gould is doing. Critics aren't the gospel.
I think Goulds interpretations a great, a bit of romance thrown in there so what. If you want to be sickened check out the violin of vivaldi on Britain you've got talent.Love him or hate him at least with Gould we can be critics of genius.
