Ever been called up at 3 am because a demon was scratching words on a young Wikken girl's back. And after you arrived saw the scratches appear for 30 minutes on her right in front of your eyes after while batteries in the cameras of others around you died? I have. And God was the reason that it left. I have to say, I agree with a lot that is here, but not the religious aspect. I used to be an athiest but God has set me free. And He is coming back.

hey man :) soz dont log on too often. Your points make perfect sense guess i was porraying a personal opinon really watching it was a turning point for me being from a religous family i didnt really think about it much. i found that zeitgeist throwing 'facts' at me gave me the drive to question things including the film. Maby its just me but when someone throws what they consider to be facts at me i like to confirm it myself after. That frame of mind is usually supressed in a religous groups

...do some poking around in media studies and you'll see the tricks they use to disable critical thought. And of course the movie points the finger at the "real enemy" of critical thought (Christianity), and thus excuses itself for making qualifications for its claims, b/c 'you just know you can't trust anything Christianity says'. Furthermore, if you research the claims made on all those lists, you'll find so many holes in Zeitgeists arguments. Check out my vids on this on my channel

...without making any critical qualification for such statements, or availing the audience with any logical connections. The movie just tries to be emotionally convincing, by playing on the emotions of the viewers. It reminds them of the crusades, the dark ages, etc., which have no relation to the thesis of the movie (that Jesus was a pagan myth), so that whatever else the movie says about Christianity, the audience will be emotionally predisposed to agree with the narrator....

I respectfully disagree with you that Zeitgeist encourages people to think. Actually, when you examine the media techniques used in the film, it becomes apparent that Zeitgeist is trying to stop you from thinking anymore about issues of religion and just accept the movie as the final shovel of dirt onto the grave of such debate. Things like those huge lists of "confirming evidence" which flash so quickly before our eyes, followed by statements like "parallels go ON and ON"...

Even if zeitgeist is wrong (personally I dont think its relevant on a larger scale) if you put half as much effort into looking toward religion as critically you will see that the likelyhood its fact is pretty low. what I think is great about zeitgeist is it encourages people to think for a second. If your a fan of facts and evidence most of the religous stories are physically impossible.(resussection, virgin birth the list goes on) Unless of course your gonna debunk science now too?
