  • at 4:39 is exactly what happend to gates

  • I love these movies.

  • Wow the original OS cost $50,000USD.

If we think that the person(s) sold the OS for $50,000USD (which was alot of money back then) made a mistake, don't be. Had they known IBM was interested they'll ask for more or make a deal with IBM instead.

Bill Gates renamed it DOS and instead of giving up ownership of DOS to IBM,decided to license it to IBM for the rights to use it, he even asked permission from the IBM suit if Microsoft could license DOS to their competitors-

  • and the IBM suit agreed that Microsoft could license DOS to others feel they've made a big mistake.

Don't be because Bill Gates was brilliant in licensing it in the first place. If they sold DOS to IBM, Microsoft wouldn't exist to this day. The IBM suit underestimated the youths and should of played harderball to buying DOS outright or at least have Microsoft only license to IBM (which Bill Gates probably wouldn't agree on).
