Sonic X - Should I keep the swearing in future dubs? - Sonic Rescues Cream (Fandub)

This is me (SonicTheVA) just testing out a Sonic X fandub with swearing in it. I voiced Sonic in this one and Cream's Japanese voice is kept in the dub. I am not going to voice Sonic in future dubs. This is just a test.

Although it has swearing in the first two fandubs I produced, it's still a few people complaining about it. I'm just wondering if I should keep the swearing in future dubs or not. Give me your opinion.

Shit sounds un-natural coming out of Sonic's mouth in your voice, it ruins it. Try something that's more sonic-y like even a grunt or a rghh, it would fit a lot better. :)

@Mikeg993 Oops! I misunderstood what you said. You mean the word "shit" sounds unnatural coming out of Sonic's mouth so I should replace it with a grunt. I really apologize if my previous comment came out rude. o_O

I honestly don't think it's a big deal either way. Go with what you feel comfortable with.

Yes, I think you should keep the swearing. If I wanted censorship, I'd watch the 4kids dub.

Its ok to let Sonic cuss when you see Mario cussing(and you wont). The fact is cussing doesnt make something cool. Tom and Jerry wont get cool by cussing...the only people who think it makes things cool ARE kids. Adults have heard cussing and its not something so new that they need giggle and be hooked at the slightest proof that something is "cool enough to cuss". More vulgar language is consistent with less intelligent culture. People who know the many different Spanishes would agree.

@VGFandub Yeah i agree that its not much like Sonic to curse(it takes away from his legacy and character). Me and a friend go into 30 minute convos every time we mention Sonic because we feel he has been raped by the gaming world ever since Sega "gave him away" at the death of the Dreamcast. Sonic was cool and Sonic got even cooler but now hes turning werewolf, then theres Silver, voice changes, etc. You do a good dub...I say keep it classic(and faithful to the accurate sub).

No. They're aimed at kids. They need to maintain a certain level of innocence. The characters swearing just makes them seem like they're trying too hard to sound edgey. Case in point....Shadow the Hedgehog. And keeping it well...the results are hilarious. So...no. Don't make them swear.
