This BIG beautiful Oak tree, estimated to be at least 100 years old, provided beauty for the sanctuary and shade for HartSong's blind horses. Over the years, however, we developed concerns about the health of this majestic tree due to an infestation of mistletoe so we decided to call in a tree expert to remove the deadly fungus. Sadly, our efforts to save it came too late and within a year, the tree began to die. Falling limbs became a concern for the blind horses below so after much consideration and angst, we decided it best to have the tree removed. We called upon "the amazing" Scott Borello of Borello Forestry to handle the job. His talents are well represented as Scott, with the grandest of precision, purposefully falls this huge oak between 2 fence posts, only 5 feet apart, sparing damage to the pasture fence. Incredible to say the least!!!
