A "metro Detroiter"? That implies you don't live in the city itself. (If my inference is incorrect, I apologize.) I do. And I love this video. Yes, Detroit has ruins a plenty, but so what? We rock, and we groove, and we're proud of our past, present and future--and this song gets it.

As a metro Detroiter, I don't care for this tune. It's lyrics aren't very meaningful, and the video is nothing but poverty porn. The outside shots are all real, but that's not all there is to Detroit--not by a long shot.

I'm glad this artist (seems?) to have something positive to say about Detroit, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.
