How come hdr and gaussian blur aren't in ogre 1.7.2? Where can i find them?
-
wait you use 9600gt in vmware?

Ogre3d is a Graphics Engine.
But you can use Ogre3d to create your own game engine.
-
Ogre3d is not an entire game engine, it is just a rendering engine. Things like input (mouse+keyboard), sound, and gui apis are not included. There are plugins available for these things but they are not included by default. If you're interested in learning game development then C++ and Ogre are definitely the way to go (especially C++).

im learning c++ and if i get right i can program ogre with c++? so i can basicly use ogre3d as my game engine if i configure it for my needs?

A question, can you tell me which demo or sample it is, with the pool having the fish in it in the room. There are some ogre statue heads as well. It looks really cool, i want to see the source code for it.

Pretty cool. Ogre's a really awesome graphics engine.

this is just a demonstration. try running some windows games on linux (like oni, which doens't work in wine)
These are just the standard examples included in the Ogre package.
It makes no sense to run them under Windows@VMware because Ogre runs perfectly on Linux.
I wouldn't suggest VMware either as a 3d testing platform because it isn't 100% perfect and if 3d development is your job then you can probably invest some money in real hardware...
