Maniçoba Hype "Robertinho Chaves & Caetano Veloso"

The band MHype originated in Bahia in the year of 2005, from the Projeto cultural maniçoba HYpe (cultural project Manicoba Hype). The group has being working on fusioning all the rhythms without frontiers, offering the public a trip to the world of "freedom of artistic expression". The band MHype is being unifying the tradition of the bay area with the worlds new musical tendencies. Keeping thus an updated eclectic fund. Samba, salsa, merengue, samba reggae, balada, samba de roda, a real musical coquetel darefull and well dosed by Maestro Gerson Silva. Composed by 9 members, the band MHype have as a leader Robertinho Chaves and Jannu Basto. The group has being performing in different musical venues around Bahia capital and also abroad. Fuair Fui - Boca do Rio em Salvador, Projeto Musica nos bairros da Radio Sociedade Praia da Ribeira, Carnival de Salvador 2008, Palco Rio Vermelho, Museu do Ritmo, Projeto Manicoba Hype in the "lavagem de la Madeleine" in Paris. During the open rehearsals the band MHype had important guests that came specially to share the Hype Energie. Such as: Caetano Veloso, Margareth Menezes, Mariene de Castro, Jota Veloso, Jauperi, Samba de Roda de Nicinha, BIT Gaboo, Crues Tentadores, Gil Merlandia "Gil", Fernanda Porto, Marcia Castro e DJ Dolores. The Band MHype propose to be a rhythm of "plural pop".
