The revolver tour, with a big wheel that selected audience members spin, determined about half the set list. This is one of my all time fave Elvis songs, recorded from the second day of the tour in the Fox Theater in Oakland.
Interesting this - it would seem that EC is actually human after all !!!
At 2:32 he jumped back 3 verses and then got completely lost! He twice fronts up to to mic afterward and then changes his mind, finally forgetting to start the last chorus with "The mightiest rose" and struggles to the end!
This life-long fan (who's never seen such a thing before) is putting it down to the Great Man's lack of rehearsal for the wheel... or old age!
So glad he's got this song in rotation. One of my EC favs. Totally rocks. Thanks for posting. I hope to get some live footage when he plays the Ryman

Thanks for this. We went the first night and I was very much hoping for this song; thankfully it came up 4th on the big wheel. Great stuff!

Flubbed the lyric at 3:12 ... I guess if you've written so many great lyrics you can't remember them all!
