Hi Mike - the strategy really depends on on the abilities and space that the blocker takes up and the tendencies of the hitter specific to the approach they have for that specific play. And of course, how far off the net the set is.
Sorry, i realize that's very little help, if any - other than the fact that the best strategy is to always keep adjusting what your team does based on it's abilities, what the play dictates and the tendencies of the other team.
