Yeah buy a nvidia certified 9700 cpu cooler and overclock your AMD 64 X2 should do good =)

Imma put a 8800GT 512mb for now on my PC will bottleneck my amd athlon x2 +4200 2.2ghz
might not even run cause my PSU dang weak

im on the 8800 xxx ultra and on the lowest settings and the highest i get crap fps like a max of 54 and average of 30???lowest 17!!

What your system like? In a week i'm getting a qx6850 quad-core, 8800 Ultra, 4Gb ram system. Will it run this as smooth as yours?
