Malcolm Arnold's death on 23 September 2006 robbed England of one of it's last truly versatile composers. He celebrated his love for Britain's culture & history in some of his most accessible and popular concert music, including this robustly Scottish Overture, Tam O'Shanter.

This is the first time I have heard the orchestral version of this piece. I have always heard the concert band version. Unfortunalety ya'll didn't post the whole piece, although what I heard was good.
