Kettle is for hot water. In fact I enjoy drinking Oolong tea in a ceramic pot.
You sound a little sarcastic. I was being earnest when I said it's a "necessary" process in tea in Indian tea making. Or do you not think so? I have visited Mumbai and have tried the tea made in this fashion, which I enjoyed very much.
