  • I can't believe he spat on the side-walk in front of the multimillion dollar restaurant on his first day!

  • Last night, I found a site where Tony said that the wife went on eighteen interviews before she finally found a job. EIGHTEEN!!! Now, that's persistence.

  • @firmingitup What a holier than thou/pompous response that was. I suppose your inference of being a success is why you peruse Youtube making lengthy posts to show your success.........give me a break, you're kidding no one with that nonsense. Read into that video what you will, the guy is a prick for a boss and there is no justification in being a price, not even to become successful, the other guy.......this was all a staged video to begin with anyway.

  • @13612 No, it actually took no part to reply to what you said, you have your story as to why the game is unwinable, and as the saying goes, whether you believe you can do something or you believe you can't, you are right. None of those 6 replies were for you. This was for the people who have doubt and are tempted to believe the easy excuses. I have no intention or desire to take away your right to believe anything that you said. It's all yours and you own in completely.

  • @firmingitup It took 6 parts to reply to what I said.....I'll keep it less long winded. The boss is a prick, being a prick isn't necessary to becoming a success, spitting on sidewalks isn't key to becoming a success and not tolerating an asshole is not selling yourself out of success. Having determination and drive is no guarantee for success. Not everyone can win the game just because they want it and try their best. Someone has to fail no matter what you say.

  • @firmingitup Part 6: and not a cent more, and when our bid is too low and we dont' want to come up, we get mad at the person who set the price and call him names b/c he didnt set it cheaper. OK, I'm done. And I think I needed to read what I just wrote more than even replying to 13612's comment. The End!

  • @firmingitup Part 5: B/c if u want it, that's the price. If u don't 'pay, you dont get it, no matter how high you think it is. You can tell yourself $500 is too much to pay, and I guess if that's what you believe, then it is and you won't pay it. And u won't get success, because it costs $500. Period. I think that's how we brainwash ourselves into mediocrity. We tell ourselves we want something and subconciously we have already levied a max dollar that we'll pay to get it. (cont'd)

  • @firmingitup Part 4: And the list gets longer and longer until it’s so long that now we cant’ do ANYTHING b/c we have this laundry list of collected excuses and we’re one paycheck from foreclosure, or 300lbs with diabetes, or our spouse just left us. I guess it comes down to this: if success cost, say $500 and all you had to do to get it would be to pay that price, would you? (cont'd)

  • @firmingitup Part 3: We all are willing to “DO WHATEVER IT TAKES NO MATTER WHAT!!!” to succeed up until the point that it rains, or it gets cold, or someone yells at us when we think they shouldn’t have. Then we quit, and we tell ourselves it was justified b/c, well, it rained—we could catch pneumonia in the rain right? Or it’s cold—we don’t want to freeze to death. Or someone yelled at us and hurt our feelings—how dare they! (cont'd)

  • @firmingitup Part 2 of my reply: Tell himself a story that this guy is an asshole and he wants to have his own biz anyway and walk off the job? He can do that, and he might even be right that the guy is an asshole but he learns nothing. Meanwhile, the asshole boss still has his businesses, and his money, and this guy is one step closer to Skid Row. It’s not about working for this guy. It’s about waking up with a goal and the determination to complete it no matter what. (cont'd)

  • Part 1 of my reply: It’s not about the guy breathing down his neck. The guy is irrelevant. What he represents is a metaphor which is everything. The point is, if you’re going to come from the brink, you have to be willing to work hard to do it. The point of this (as I see it) wasn’t about if he was social or not. It’s about he wants to do his best at “fill in the blank” and here comes the obstacle of “fill in the blank”, and what is he going to do next? (cont'd)
