Wow...coombop1, praying for you to have a miraculous encounter. You will, you know: The earth declares the glory of God (Psalm 19:1) and "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made..." (Romans 1:20). Whether you believe in Him is not the issue; He believes in you and will reveal Himself to you.

I am a Christian, and I love these videos. Saying "God did it" isn't a dismissive comment, and doesn't mean that we can't search for more answers, some of the most amazing scientists in the past have been driven by a desire to find out how God did it! If this universe exists purely as a result of random processes you wouldn't expect to find so much order, if there is no order, what is there for a scientist to find? But there is order and so we begin to understand God's creation.

like if this reinforces your faith

That should cover everything from your comments but if you think I missed something let me know. I personally am an atheist because I see no reason to believe, haven't since I was 11. Without God, life is exactly the same except that you no longer pretend to have an answer for everything. Life isn't dull or jaded, it's even more beautiful! Instead of saying "God did it", we find answers, and they are much more exciting.
I should note that these comments appear in reverse order.

And to reiterate, I really don't see anecdotes like that as proving anything. I mean, that really is a tragedy what happened at your school but I don't see what it has to do with God. But think about how you would have viewed the Saints winning as an atheist: "Those men, of flesh and blood just like me, overcame adversity and won against all odds. And they did it without a magic man in the sky.". That story is only about God because you want it to be.

conditions are met (although they have been speculated upon). So, to say that it must have been planned does not make sense. If the conditions for life weren't met here, there wouldn't be life. You're forgetting that the earth is just a lucky rock to us, not some special creation.
And I have read the bible (old and new testaments) because they are the foundation of this society. But whether or not they are inherently consistent is irrelevant if you do not think they are factual.

In reference to the banana comment I would like to point out that I have never heard a believer say that cyanide must have been designed by God because of the way it perfectly binds to an oxidase protein and stops our bodies from using oxygen. Also, I would encourage you to see things from the banana's perspective, for whom its deliciousness is not positive!
Regarding the earth's distance from the sun, the position of scientists is that life forms where it is possible and some other unknown

I appreciate that you took the time to reply and since I took the time to read your comments I would appreciate the same courtesy. In response to your initial comment I would like to point out that you are employing a logical fallacy. Essentially you are saying "Everything has a cause, therefore there must have been some initial cause (God) which led to all other things". Of course, this leads to the question "Who made God?" which you can not answer without refuting the initial supposition.

@coombop1 This may not make sense to you, but I hope that it somehow does and that it helps you. God knows you better than anyone, and He loves you more than you will ever know.
