@Xomsabre Didn't know about that definition of punch, although it makes sense after a thought. I always thought 'Punch drunk and without bail' was a reference to boxers and the behavior they exhibit after one too many fights. As in, the damage done too their brains and equilibrium looks as if they're drunk even when sober.

@pharmaecopia5 3/5 of the top lyrics sites on the internet agree with you, lol....as do I. Anyone sung this on RB lately that can prove that it's one way or another? "Punched, drunk and without bail" or "Punch drunk and without bail"? The latter makes more sense to me, seeing as how the meaning of punch is fruit juice with alcohol (though time has deluded that, as it does everything). "Punch drunk" would mean "drunk on punch", just seems to fit more to me...

I always thought the lyric said "punch drunk and without bail." no matter still a great quality sounding upload.hard to believe it has been almost 20 years since this incredible piece of music came out.
