  • Was thirteen when this came out in summer '63. Oh my...the memories!! Can someone invent a time-machine where we can all go back for a few and relive those great times. I will be the first to buy a ticket. Silly I know but what the heck.

  • Imagine the scene... young Americans gettin down and partying together for a short, innocent time before the advent of velvet ropes, VIP areas, guest lists, and that most pathetic and embarrassing scam, "bottle service". Entertainment's gone elitist and shows no sign of coming back. No wonder we're all shut up inside with our video games and FB accounts... playing at a SIMS version of the lives we used to live. Can we ever make it back to Monkey Time?

  • The Genius Curtis Mayfield produced it

  • @my60smusic I was also born in 1950. and, I know the rock fever that you felt. But, we can't relive the past, or predict the future. Who knows what's coming down the pike. If by any means possible I would like to relive 1963. But, we are living in what will shortly be 2012. To quote the "grassroots": Live for today!

It just came to my brilliant senior mind. It was called "Mickey's Monkey" by Smokey Robinson. I remember doing this dance at the clubs in Georgetown. I want a time machine also to go back for a couple of days. Of course, I come back to my husband, Brian, of over 40 years, my children and grandchildren.
