@timsk In Korea there had never existed Kumdo-Kendo. Because Korea had been slave dependency of China for 1000 years long. When Chinese ambassador visited Seoul, Korean king must welcome at the gate of suburbs of Seoul, with many times bowing as kneeling on ground directly.So Korean king needed not to fight agaist China.
And Yangbang peer controled people by displaying short sword. Yangbang took the sword on his back. It means useless sword. Korean's costume was as wellas chinese costume.

@timsk During annexation by Japan, Koreans leaned Kendo in school. So after Korea could be independency, Korean kendo trainer changed to pronounce of Kendo to Korean pronuciation as Kumdo. The reason was that chinese character Kanji is 剣.This character's pronuciation is ken, but Korean pronuciation is Kum. So they pronounce Kumdo. But Korean's personality is bad, They began to insist that Kumdo originated in Korea. And they wear Japanese kendo costume. Koreans are liar.

In Kendo match, if winner performs or displays his winning proudly. The winning
must be canceled by referees. Boasting after winning is forbidden in BUSHIDO.
Japanese Budo needs the atitude modestly.

@jamespark96 this is the WORLD KENDO championship. Were you a competitor?

Kendo has a word "交剣知愛 (Koukenchiai)." Meaning: Once you cross your sword with someone's, you will know your oppornant better and can improve yourself more. Also, you may wish to fight with him or her again. You can make friends in kendo. Forget races if you do kendo.
Literally, 交 (kou) is "cross," 剣 (ken) is "sword," 知 (chi) is "know," and 愛 (ai) is "love."
By the way, Miyazaki already hit a good kote at 0:10.

@JapanTech1 っていうか、お前も外人じゃない!?!
If any of you speaking of racism is practicing Kendo, you may succeed the "Ken" part of Kendo, but you have failed the "Do." E
ven if equality is lost because of cultural, political, and social influences, in Kendo we are all still connected because we are all part of the same way of life, and we are equal before the shinai.
Which part is more important is up to the individual, but for me Kendo always has been discipline of my mind and spirit more than the body.
