I love how unexpectedly shocking this scene was. We've all been sort of desensitized to death through the media whether it be from games, movies, or maybe even the news. It's probably because the death is expected. In games, you shoot this guy, he dies. In movies, it's a long drawn out dramatic scene of someone dying. In the news it just tells you upfront. But not here. This was so sudden, and to a main character you got to know.
