lmfao... as an added incentive, all the dogs in ur neighborhood start to howl so you know your satellite is pointed correctly

@TheTurkCrime Once you get a noise like this you turn the volume down a little and recheck as you turn the dish until you get this sound once more. That should be it. It's not as accurate as the expensive meters, but work.

My Panasonic TV has Freesat/Freeview built in.
I want to set up the freesat, but i don't no how to align my new Dish ;(
My TV manual says it has to be set at: Astra 2 @ 28.2 Degrees.
Can i mount the dish on any wall available, and does the height of the dish matter?
I have one of those signal finders plus compass yet i still can't work out whats correct, can anyone help me out? ;(

anyone looking subscription packages for all sky and european channels, mail me.

@uraijit If you don't have a motorized dish you can get a motorized dish if you live where you can put one up. You will be able to get more channels. I love the Pentagon Channel, Al Jazeera, and other news channels. I can only get the NASA channel on Directv which is a subscription channel. I just can not get any channels from satellites over most of Europe.

All of ours have gone NAGRA-3, so all that's available now is NASA, and religious channels...

@uraijit I got that problem fixed and have to now replace a portion of the cable my big puppy chewed into. I have the tools to take care of that problem and will be back in business as soon as I move the dog to a new location. My new sonicview receiver just don't work as good as my old mercury II did. I get channels from some satellites, but with no strength signal on the new one the channels don't work.
This video shows how a satellite meter can help finding the sweet spot to perfectly align a satellite dish. These meters are really useful little helpers.
