His point was he "has" gone through seasons of celibacy that is to say he has not always been in the place that he is now. Stop being so judgemental. I'm sure there are many men/women of God that are doing worse things like having babies with single people and not even talking to their spouses or physically abusing theri spousing and try to cover it up like nothing's going on and all is well and happy.
