  • so in summary , the ''ectocervix'' = stratified squamous epithelium (shiny on colposcopy), ''Endocervix= secretory simple columnar epithelium (underlined by submucosal glands. I think the first 2 or 3 large cysts that we have seen on the first few seconds of the video are the ''Nabothian'' cysts resulting from the occlusion of the normal submucosal glands at the transformation'' transitional '' zone of the endo-ecto cervix. great video as usual.

  • I forgot the normal cervix, so I just wanted to take a look at it. When metaplasia happens, it looks like carcinoma in situ.
