Hi There,
I have been teaching my dog this trick for a while and he picks things up really quickly. I have been using the clicker but he doesn't tuck his head under when I say the command, he just puts his paws up.
I do make sure I click and reward with treats when his head is tucked but he doesn't seem to do it. I have practiced this command for about a month.
Any idea how to make him tuck his head?
Kind Regards
Anna :)

@Jack0Maisie You could try to lure his head down under your arm or tuck his head under with your hand or by targeting your hand. Reinforce in the position that you want. Mark with your clicker or with a word when his head is tucked under and then feed in the position. Hope that helps. I am pretty sure that I lured in the video and fed under my arm to get the head tucked. Take care! Good Luck!

@justpinahy Puppies do have a short attention span. That is normal! Maybe she does not really understand what you want her to do. Have you been clicker training her? She is still really too young to be completely potty trained. It depends on the dog, the consistency in your training, and setting her up to succeed (by keeping an eye on her at all times and when you can't watch her use a crate or playpen). Take her out to the potty spot often and REWARD her when she does "potty" outside! :)
