But that was in 2009. He doesn't do it now because he's obviously switched to shakehand.

@kirby4blues Yes, both styles have the crossover point, but rbp has it a worse. that's why you see wang hao in 2009 back away from the table into mid-range most of the time, because close to the table, the deadspot is too much.

If you're talking about the crossover point, shakehanders have that too.
Anyway, Chen had far superior footwork so that isn't even relevant.

good to see another rpb player kicking ass. jakab never really exploited the dead zone that rpb are notorious for having... so it's hard to say if Tianyuan Chen is really that good or not.
