A 7min. video testing out my mobile video recording, while viewing some of my lovely Labradorite pieces that are awaiting creation. Though I may have lacked stating more educational infos regarding Labradorite. I was just zoning out in the beauty of the stones, and attempting to not speak too loudly into the mobile mic.
Labradorite is in the Feldspar family. Akin to Obviously other feldspars like Sunstone Feldspar & Rainbow Moonstone. Sometimes Labradorite is known as Spectrolite, depending on geographical location of the specimen. The Flash or fire within the Labradorite... is called Labradorescence. The most coveted of the colors (for myself at least) is Blue or Deep Blue. Though I also like the unusual Purple/Pink & even Deep Orange colors. The most common colors seen are most likely the Yellow, and Greenish Yellows bordering light Teals. Each flash is different & vary per stone. Sometimes it looks like a painting to me... other times it may just be a wash of a solid color, or even stripes. Labradorite base colors border between nearly a transluscent grayish color... to a darker grayish green color (like a Dark deep olive color).
My friend Rebecca commented on an early post about Labradorite... and I have to post her comment here, as I totally agree with it & feel it embodies my thoughts on the stone as well.

Anyway... I just LOVE Labradorite... Luckily the color flashes show up on video too. teehee. ~X~
