Old joke at the time. ...Supermac had a tailors shop in the Newgate shopping centre in Newcastle and when he went to Arsenal he closed the shop and took some material down to Saville Row with him and got a tailor to make him a suit out of it. The tailor ended up making him 2 suits. Mac was over the moon and asked how he was able to make 2 suits when there only appeared to be enough material for one. The tailor said, thats cos you're not as big down here as you were up there!! ....LOL
I know that, it was just an expression. We had a crap manager in Gorden Lee at the time who did'nt believe in star players so he sold him. What a tit he was!
I was in the Northbank for the Newcastle game as a 14 year old. What a match....what a legend for both clubs. Great memories.
