Hi, great video! obviously you know A LOT about hand stripping (and you are very good at it!) I use my fingers to strip my norfolk terrier also. I was just wondering, how old are they when they get there wire hair?

Great tutorial! I am a professional groomer and dog trainer. I agree with everything you said in this video. My only tip would be to reward the behavior you want i.e. give her a treat the moment she is calm and relaxed instead of just taking "treat breaks". Great job!

your hand stripping tecniques are awesome! you also do this on some spaniels such as cockers, but they do it for a silky coat though.

comb the hair with a flea comb in the opposit direction and just pull out a few hairs at a time the real long ones wait a week repeat baby steps untill your baby gets used to it!

Thanks for your comment! Glad to see you understand the principles of timing and the principle rapid and instant rewarding of a behavior as the best way to install it but in conditioning a puppy to accept this process of plucking which is not pleasant and will always take time it's (I have come to believe ) rest with treats petting and even some play helps make the overall experiencebetter for the dog !
Thanks again for the reinforcer!
