Southwest Airlines Presents the Green Plane

If you (SWA) want to reduce weight in order to save fuel and reduce costs, from a business sense, that's great! But to call it "green" and being "environmental stewards"---what a bunch of crap. Mand-made global warming is a hoax! At SFO they now have an ATM-type of machine where you can purchase "carbon credits" to offset your "carbon footprint" of your flight. WHAT A SCAM! i love SWA, but come on, knock off this green nonsense.

an electric plane would be so much safer.

lame why not make a different kind of plane

i love you southwest. i really do. but something about a time-lapse shot of people stripping the inside of a plane at high speed set to jazz music... makes me feel kind of.... unsafe? lol.... we'll keep up the good work anyway.

when is it in service????

It's so cool. Thinking about the "little" things can make a very big difference.

Here is quote, "What makes this so innovative is that we hope to be able to reduce the weight of
the aircraft by up to five pounds per seat, saving fuel and reducing emissions while being good environmental stewards."

so how long does a strip of the interior like that take? and crazy to think almost all those parts have to get faa approval for use in an aircraft. that's a lot of stuff to keep track of.
