  • Great video! Two of the DF4C diseal locomotive are in the front and one is in the back. The freight train emerges from the tunnel. It is quite heavy. It has 59 freight wagon. But I want to know the 54 cars open wagon in the front is carrying the black sand or empty? Please reply soon!

  • Well, they are DF4D's (Actually DF4DH's, like Bachmann China makes the 4245 and 4248 from Daban depot), and they carry coal... The train should weigh almost 5000 tons, if I was informed correctly...

The DF4D in the back of the train only works from Jingpeng to Shangdian by the way, and then it returns as a light engine back to Jingpeng, to assist an other Eastbound train... Normally it's coupled in front of the "train engine", but when there are already two engines then it pushes the train...

    Neither... it's domestic

  • I like the contrast between the sound of the crickets and the noise of the train.

  • That's indigenous diesels from Dalian Engine Plant.

  • Is the prime mover GE or Sulzer?

  • oh man, that's intensely long

  • That means the 54 cars open wagon in the front aren't empty, they are carrying coal.
