The Blessing of the Sun is an ancient Jewish ritual held once every 28 years. In it we bless the creator for the sun and bring our attention to the miracle of our everyday existence. Our Jerusalem community, Nava Tehila, held the ceremony overlooking the Judean desert. Here we are singing Psalm 19 to our original music. Just as the sun came up we sang the verse "He (the sun) is like a bridegroom emerging from his chuppa". Music is by Yoel Sykes and leading with him are rabbi Ruth Gan Kagan and Daphna Rosenberg. www.navatehila.org
