LYRICS :::

metal bird far above you, for to carry your love
shatters the wings of a dove as it passes on through
it is caged in a cloud, a billion spheres all around
and an engine so loud, the deaf pilot hears, too
blue atmosphere surrounds me, i see you on the ground
be not afraid, do not doubt: this flight brings me back to you
but in a matter of time, i will fall from the sky
for the pilot is blind, as are the passengers, too

the seconds are falling away, the seconds are falling away
those seconds turn to minutes, turn to hours, turn to days

"if the engines should fail and you crash over the grail
on which side of our trail should survivors lay rest?"
you always whispered that trick, straight-faced and cold as a brick
i said "my darling, you're sick". you grinned, "but you love me best".
you set three precious jewels upon my old wooden stool
i cried that you were a fool when you said, "love, be my guest"
mark my words: had i known this was the end of my road,
i would've kissed all three stones and held each one close to my chest

a minute of sleeping means an hour alive
a day of pure truth means a week of pure lies
a month of the pleasure means a year of the pain
a lifetime of innocence means forever to blame

they found debris on the shores of fifty islands or more
with silver strikes where we tore through the twisting of fate
you were too bitter to grieve, searched with scholars and thieves
through ash you would not believe even by the end of your day
with nameless blood on your hands, you'd wipe it off in the sand
do you feel more like a man when you force me away?
toss those three stones in your pocket-- with my picture and locket--
from the edge of the dock, if you want my memory to fade

i'll hold my breath out of spite as this bird falls from the sky
my pilot, you're too blind to see that my eyes are clouded, too

  • you are awesome Sarah Fasano!!!

    I love you!!!

  • Yes, the word is "Lyrical" for you.

  • This is a nice song... I can never image myself compiling all those lyrics in one song... I could probably only be able to follow a simple format if I wrote to write a song. Lots of lyrics... I wish I can understand English better... as English is not my first language.

Keep it up... and smile more, as you looked even better to me when you smile more (and with no makeup) . You are Talented!!!
