@jeffroy15 the thing is, people aren't smart. people like scapegoats: scapegoats are easy. The coach is the easiest position to blame. Thus, the coach is usually the scapegoat, for any team. pretty much 95% of teams fanbases don't like their coach. The sentiment in Vancouver is simply compounded by our unmatched fickle fanbase (i blame the media for this but that's another story). the fact is, however, AV is a Jack Adams winner and finalist 3x. He's a good coach.
