The Grammy Award winning cowboy group, Riders in the Sky, perform at a ranch the night before my friends' wedding! This group sang "Woody's Roundup" in Toy Story 2.
They keep the traditional cowboy music alive. I grew up with my father's records and among those were The Sons of the Pioneers. My friends all thought I was strange because I would listen to these groups.
odd story....years ago when I worked in Nashville, Too Slim would pass me on I-40 almost every day in a blue mini van with personalized plates 2-Slim on it...I had to drive along side him to make sure it was him.
I saw them last night in Bloomington, IL (10/12/07). They were incredible! Wonderful harmonies, and some of the hippest sounding instrumental work around. Do yourself a favor and see them in person.
