  • why stay out? NUKES

  • @MirageScience They got nukes too. Also, nukes lead to nasty problems like China who has nukes too wanting to nuke us for polluting the area (including theirs). Not to mention it's the biggest most dickheaded thing I've heard.

  • Kim Jong Ill's predecesor: Kim Il Sung.

  • Yes, the North Korean way of life is more important than the suffering of its citizens. When kim jong il was still in power, people in horrific conditions would sooner attribute what little they had to the generosity of the supreme leader, rather than to his utter disregard that fucked them. They have a form of militant isolationism that sees any outside aid as a direct threat. That being said, we haven't exactly made ourselves look trustworthy or amicable enough to get any support anyway.

  • @ladyattis Did you see how the koreans reacted to Kim Jong il's death? Talk about what you call a severely bad case of an epidemic of stockholm syndrome in NK!

  • @AxiomaticLiberty Yep :3

  • If only communists were as cute as that pic ha, but to be on topic, a new leader = a possible chance for North Korea to become friendly. It may be a small chance, but we should see this as an opportunity for things to improve, not worsen.

  • @ladyattis yeah I was referencing that they had nukes... So I don't understand your comment.

  • if kim jong-un were to allow for more open trade with the west he would be able to increase his personal wealth greatly and inadvertently increase the standard of living in the country.

That is likely the best we can hope for.

  • physcial wealth of huge capacity at the expense of being able to feed the nations people
