@Lescazza The grenade launcher(or better, Loch-n-Load) shoots faster and does more damage than the rocket launcher.
The big difference is, the rockets are easier to aim and still explode immediately if they miss slightly.
So sure, Soldiers are usually preferable for direct combat, but if you're close enough and you're a great shot, you'd probably prefer the Demoman.

Demoman is such a troll class. Spy may be clever insta-killer, but he can get pwned six ways from sunday by nearly every class.
Demos can go from an offensive bomb-lobbing spammer to a defensive insta-killer with the scroll of a mouse. Not to mention he can carry around a Scottish longsword with a range that could stretch around the fucking planet.
