Im looking for my family in Tahiti... my great grandfather came to hawaii from tahiti in 1918 and never went back home. hes last name is Terii te toofa or something like that. Hes first name was albert but dont know if he had a different tahitian first name he went by... any leads is greatly appreciated

Aloha! Not sure which island your on... there is a Lisa Terii te toofa. She lives in papeete. she is a journalist for one of the tahitian news paper. Daniel Teriitetoofa is in raaitea and can speak english. He lives in vai au au..he is a teacher in vaiauau. you can ask any one once your on raaitea. hope this helps

you may want to check with laie mormon church office...They wud have the records on the families. I know my family is related, but not sure how. My hanai sister traced the ohana all the way back to raaitea. so good luck!
